IPBP is an Indian force established on 24 October 1962. It is one of the Central Armed Police Forces. The core responsibility of this force is to provide security along the India’s border with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, border covering 2115 kilometers.

Age Limit

• Candidates age limit should not below than 18 years and not more than 23 years (Candidates should not have been born earlier than 09-10-1991 and not later than 09-10-1996) as on 09-10-2014.


• Age Relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ EXS/ Government servants.

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board


• One year trade certificate from an Industrial Training Institute / One year work experience in relevant trade.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of the candidates will be based on following criteria:

• Height Bar, Race, PST, Biometric Identification


• Written test, Trade Test


• Interview


• Checking of Documents, Detailed Medical Exam.

Application Fee:

• For General and OBC category: Rs. 50/- in form of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” which are available at the counter of all Post Offices. You have to paste the Recruitment Fee Stamps on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office.
